Sitting

I was reading this verse the other day, which says “Then King David went in and sat before the LORD and said, “Who am I, O Lord GOD, and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far?” I was fascinated by the word sat. David just sat before the Lord. He didn’t bow, kneel, or anything, but all he did was sit. How often do we let ourselves just relax and sit before the Lord God our Maker? Sometimes we just mumble our prayers, anxious to be done, without just sitting and enjoying God’s presence. So, today, I challenge you to go somewhere where you can just sit before God. It may be in the forest, in your room, or maybe even the bathroom. Just go to God, seek His face, and find it. God be with you.
