Hawk

“My days are swifter than a runner; they flee away; they see no good.  They go by like skiffs of reed, like an eagle swooping on the prey. ” Job 9:25-26.

Just the other day, I saw this hawk swoop down upon its prey. In a blink of the eye he was upon it. That quickly its talons grasped the life from its prey. Eventually death will be upon you as well, ending your life.

Life is very short. The grass withers and the flower fades, so it is with man. So, in this short life, let us make it count. Let us give it all for Christ. Running the race set before us, all while looking to the founder and perfecter of our faith, Jesus Christ. Before you know it the time will come for you to die. The question is on that day would you be able to say that you had given it all for Christ? Is to live Christ and to die gain? Are you living a life completely reflecting Jesus?

“Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him.” 1Corinthian 7:17a.
