Justification

              Have you ever been near death? Maybe in a car accident or a hospital experience? Death is the punishment for breaking the law of God. The question is how do we become justified to God after we sin? Justification can be evaluated by investigating sin, a Savior, and faith.

              Adam brought condemnation to the whole human race, because he disobeyed God. In the beginning, everything was perfect, including man. Yet, Adam, the first man ever created, ate of the forbidden fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, disobeying his Creator. As his punishment, the whole earth was cursed. By one man sin was brought to the human race, and death, both physical and eternal, is the consequence. Death and sin were wrought as a result from Adam’s disobedience in eating the fruit.

              Yet, God had a perfect plan to bring mankind back to Himself. God sent His only begotten Son to earth. Christ Jesus, the Son of God, lived without sin, fulfilling the complete law. As one without evil, He became the sacrifice for mankind to pay for their sins. He rose again from death after three days. By doing this, He conquered death. Jesus, sent by God, was the sacrifice for sin.

              God made a way for justification through belief. If we repent of our iniquities and believe in Jesus and what He did on the cross, salvation is given to us. If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord, no longer are you slave to sin, but become a slave to righteousness, and you are justified before God by Jesus’ blood. You receive eternal life, instead of infinite death. Belief in Jesus is all you need to have hope forever.

              Through observing sin, a Savior, and faith, the process of becoming justified before God is made known. Sin and death was brought to mankind by Adam’s disobedience. Jesus, the Son of God, paid the debt for evil. Faith in Christ brings about salvation. Thankfully, though there is death, there is also justification.
