A Zoo Trip
Yep, I went to the Zoo. I have to say, November/December weather is the absolute best for visiting the Zoo (with Texas weather the temperature stays up in the seventies or higher, so it’s not hot nor cold, and it’s a super plus because the zoo is practically empty in the winter). Because I am not a super big fan of animals, I focused on photography.
Due to my horrible lack of knowledge of zoology, I forgot the name of this unique bird native to Africa, but as you can see it is very beautiful. 😄
Although I’ve seen cheetahs before, I was surprised at how small they appeared. But I was even more so surprised at how big the giraffes were.
We walked along from this section and eventually came to the Rhino pin.
This rhino was quite the beast, with a smell to go along with it. 👃
Although it didn’t compare to hugging elephants in Chiang Mai, avoiding monkeys in Malaysia, and seeing camels in Qatar, we had a splendid time at the zoo. I can’t wait to go back.
The Bible says “All the earth worships you [Lord] and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.” (Psalms 66:4), including the animals, like these at the zoo, let us join in so that the rocks won’t put us to shame.
