Remember his Faithfulness

When life gets hard we tend to forget God’s faithfulness, just like the Israelites, who “forgot his works and the wonders that he had shown them.” (Psalms 78:11).

How do we remember God’s wonderful works? The Bible declares “We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.” (Psalms 78:4). We should share of God’s faithfulness to our children and friends “so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments.” (Psalms 78:7).

I can testify to God’s steadfast love in the story of our traveling. When boarding and exiting so many planes when travelling, one must be quick. Being in a huge group, we were often running to catch each plane (literally). Imagine the process of getting on a plane, and then multiply that time by two for each additional person. Yeah, it takes a long time. Then add extra complications (such as your terminal being in a completely different airport), and try and get us there on time. Impossible. But God is always faithful. He miraculously got us to every terminal just in time. I may have been breathless when I got there, but I was thankful. The Lord helped us.

The Lord will deliver us when we call upon Him. Ask and you shall receive. “I sought the LORD, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.” Psalms 34:4.
