Evening Walk
As I was walking this evening, I began to contemplate certain things, pushing away my troubles that belong to tomorrow. God doesn’t want us to worry. He made us to live each day without wondering what the next will hold. Jesus says “…do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
But we all fight our battles of worry, stress, and anxiety. But Philippians4:6 says “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
So how do we be thankful and not anxious? Praying and not worrying? Supplicating and not stressing?
The Bible tells us in Psalms 55:22, “Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.” We don’t need to worry about tomorrow, because He who made us will faithfully sustain us. Just cast all your stress onto the Lord. He will keep you.
Destroy those killjoy thoughts of the worries of tomorrow and remember the good things of today. It’s hard. I know. But totally worth it. 😀
