Let There Be love
Today, I wore a shirt that said “Let there be love.” I began thinking about love. The words from one of Andrew Peterson’s songs was brought to my mind. Peterson says that true love is the person who kneels to wash other’s feet. Love is a sacrifice.
I realized my shirt was campaigning for the right kind of thing. Love covers a multitude of sins (I Peter 4:8). And we are all sinners. So we all need love.
Love should abound in our hearts. I John 4:7 states “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.”
How can you love someone better today?
“[B]ut through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.” Galatians 5:13b-15
