Learning From The People Around You

I found out that you can gain a lot of information through just talking to people. Say, you can learn a lot of history about Egypt from a native on an airplane. And you’d be surprised just how much your parents know as well.

Just today, I had a interesting conversation with my dad about volts and batteries and convertors. There’s a lot to learn, if you just listen. Your elders know a lot.

And that’s one very special pro to being old. The older you get, the more you know. The Bible says in Proverbs 16:31 “Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life.” So, whether it be a long time from now or just around the corner (or even current), celebrate the growth of gray hair. It means you’re much wiser than you were, and wisdom is more precious than gold (Proverbs 16:16).
