Chicken Pot Pie

I went into the kitchen to prepare dinner. I heated the chicken for the chicken pot pie I was going to make. After I had cooked and shredded the meat, I started to get the ingredients out for the pie. Yet, no matter where I looked I couldn’t find what I needed for my pot pie. It turns out that Dawn had used them for a different meal she made. So, with time running out and no ingredients for the chicken pot pie, I decided to whip up some Indian style food. I turned on the rice, heated up a Madras curry sauce, and started to make naan. I added some of the chicken to the sauce. So, even though I had to completely make something else than I had planned, it turned out well.

My dad commented later saying “That’s the worst chicken pot pie I’ve ever had.” (I assume it was a joke😉). I think everyone enjoyed it, including me.

But, man, I sure was looking forward to that pot pie.
