Memorization Challenge
What’s important in your life? Food. Water. Your bed. Well, I was taking a look at myself and I realized that the most important thing in my life wasn’t held at the highest priority. I read my Bible twenty minutes a day, but, well who can get enough of time in God’s word? So, I thought to myself, what is better than reading the Bible? Storing the precious Word in your heart, right?
As Christians, we need to know the word of God, because we are not to “”‘…live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”‘” Matthew 4:4. What better way to have this Word of life available to you than memorizing it?
So, I challenge myself and you to memorize a verse, short chapter, or whole book of the Bible. I picked a chapter from one of my favorite books; Psalms, chapter 8.
Make it fun. Add art.
You can post it on your wall or just carry it with you. I find that when I memorize things fast, they don’t stay in my brain for as long as when I read it so many times that I have it memorized. But no matter what, you must review it everyday or it will fade from your memory.
So, have fun, accept the adventure!
