How Do You Deal With Disappointment?

Just recently I come over some disappointments in myself.

Have you ever experienced a disappointment? Or several disappointments? But maybe the question isn’t whether you’ve ever received disappointments but how you’ve dealt with them.

Proverbs 13:12 says “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.” What do you do with this sick heart and aching pit in your stomach when something doesn’t go the way you wanted it to?

One way I like to deal with this is to praise the Lord for the disappointment. Yep, praise Him for the disappointment. “Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant, and a song of praise is fitting.” Psalms 147:1. Even when we’re going through troubles, praise the Lord. You’ll find that your spirits will lift already.

Thank You, Lord, for my troubles and all the good things You’ve bestowed on me. All praise to the Lord! Hallelujah! Thank You, Jesus!
